Delta police seek witnesses, footage of fatal collision

Delta police are looking for witnesses to a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred on Friday, March 6 in Tsawwassen.
Officers were called to a reported collision involving a white Kia Soul compact crossover SUV and a pedestrian on a mobility scooter near 10th Avenue and 54A Street at around 2:30 p.m. Police say the collision occurred as a vehicle was entering a parking lot in the area.
A 68-year-old woman sustained serious injuries and, despite lifesaving efforts by first responders, later died. The driver of the Kia remained at the scene and co-operated with investigators. Police do not believe impairment was a factor in the incident.
