The blossoms are out and they’re ready to be the centre of attention with picnics, poems, and dance parties during the annual Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival! The schedule is now available so here’s how you can celebrate these spring blooms throughout the community March 27 to April 12, 2026.
Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival Schedule

Blossoms After Dark
Dates: March 27 & 28, 2026 from 6:30pm to 10:00pm
Location: David Lam Park, Yaletown
Admission: Free
Details: A magical evening promenade through illuminated cherry blossoms with performers, food trucks, interactive art, and beautiful photo moments under the glowing canopy.
The Big Picnic
Dates: March 28 & 29 from 10:00am to 4:30pm
Location: David Lam Park, Yaletown
Admission: Free
Details: The festival’s signature daytime celebration is now happening over two days! Bring your picnic blanket and enjoy live music, workshops, performances, and community connection under the blossoms.
Bring your own picnic or pre-order Sakura Scones: Tea for Two from the iconic Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. A box contains four scones (two classic buttermilk & two vanilla chai), as well as pots of mascarpone cream and strawberry preserve. Plus, your choice of black and herbal Fairmont teas, served on-site.

Blossom Block Party
Dates: Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 2:00pm
Location: Dunsmuir Patio Bentall Centre (1055 Dunsmuir, Vancouver)
Admission: Suggested $5 donation. RSVP on Facebook for updates.
Details: Dance in the heart of downtown Vancouver with DJs, performances, a pop-up bar, food vendors, and a newly expanded car-free street celebration. Part of Dunsmuir will be closed off to traffic so you can wander (and dance) from the plaza to the iconic blossoms at Burrard Station.
Sakura Days Japan Fair
Dates: April 11-12, 2026
Location: VanDusen Botanical Garden
Tickets: Available online now with early bird pricing until March 20
Details: Celebrate Japanese culture through traditional performances, food, art, and cultural experiences in collaboration with the Japan Fair Association of Vancouver.
There will also be Tree Talks & Walks, Pop-Up Events, and the annual Haiku Invitational.
