Child dies after reportedly falling from balcony in Mississauga

A child died after a fall from a balcony earlier this week in Mississauga.

The four-year-old child was found on the ground outside an apartment building in the City Centre Drive and Duke of York Boulevard area just after 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 9, a Peel Regional Police spokesperson told INsauga.com.

The child had reportedly fallen from an apartment balcony, police said.

Police said the child was transported to hospital and has since died.

As this remains an active and sensitive investigation, police said they are unable to release further details at this time.
