Marking World Kidney Day, a free kidney and urology check-up camp was organised at Patel Hospital on March 12 to raise awareness about kidney health and promote early detection of kidney-related diseases.

During the camp, patients received free consultations from specialist doctors and underwent complimentary kidney screening tests. The hospital also offered a 50 per cent discount on ultrasound investigations. More than 100 patients were examined during the initiative and were counselled on ways to maintain good kidney health.

Speaking on the occasion, senior urologist Dr. Swapan Sood stressed the importance of preventive care. He advised people to drink adequate water, maintain a balanced diet, reduce salt and junk food consumption, and keep conditions such as Diabetes and High Blood Pressure under control.

He added that regular health check-ups play a crucial role in early detection of kidney diseases, helping prevent serious complications in the long run.
