NASCAR issues multiple penalties after inspection issues at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
On Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series drops the green flag at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Today, the track hosted a round of practice and qualifying to set the starting grid.
Before cars are allowed on the track, they must pass multiple inspection stations. This ensures teams are within compliance with the rulebook.
Teams are given one free attempt to pass the line. If they fail twice, the penalties begin and four teams have been issued a penalty. Four car chiefs have been ejected and all four lose pit selection.
NASCAR has ejected the following crew members:

NASCAR Inspection Penalties
Pre-Qualifying
The following includes various levels of inspection penalties:
1 Failure
No Penalty
2 Failures
Crew member of NASCAR’s choosing ejected. Additionally, the team loses pit selection.
3 Failures
Not permitted to qualify plus above penalty. They also have to serve a pass-through penalty at the start of the race.
