Game 7 Sunday in North Surrey in Knights-Outlaws hockey playoff series

Game 7 in the junior hockey playoff battle between Surrey Knights and Mission City Outlaws will be played at North Surrey Sport & Ice Complex on Sunday night (March 15), 7 p.m. puck drop.

The PJHL teams are now tied in their conference semifinal series after a pair of wins by Mission including a double-overtime, season-saving victory Thursday in North Surrey. The Outlaws won again Friday in Mission, 3-2, setting up Game 7.

The series winner will face White Rock Whalers in the conference final in the two-tier hockey league. No “crossover” series with the other conference winner will take place.

Friday in Mission, Knights goal-scorers were Logan Meyer and Parkor Sarai, with his ninth of the post-season. Mission’s Ethan Raymond scored his second of the game in the final minute of the third period to give his team the big win.

Cooper Crowe also scored for the Outlaws, whose goaltender Jake Poblete stopped 45 of 47 shots. At the other end of the rink, Koen St. Hilaire was also busy for Surrey, stopping 40 of 43 shots faced.
