It wasn’t a great night for AJ Hotchkins in his fourth mixed martial arts bout.

Hotchkins faced Darryl Walker at Friday night’s Tuff-N-Uff 152 event in Las Vegas. The two undefeated fighters were set to compete in a middleweight bout, and when Hotchkins entered the cage, he did a cartwheel as part of his grand arrival. After landing the cartwheel, Hotchkins continued going backwards, and eventually frolicked right out of the cage through an open door.

Check out a couple of different angles of the hilarious moment — one courtesy of Atomic Television, and one from Hotchkins’ Instagram page as he was a good sport about it.

Unfortunately, the night didn’t get any better for Hotchkins, as he ate a nasty head kick a little less than two minutes into the opening round before Walker uncorked a barrage of punches on the ground to earn the stoppage.

Hotchkins suffered the first loss of his pro career, while Walker improved to 2-0 with two first-round finishes.
