Eastern Illinois women’s golf wrapped up play on Sunday afternoon at the NKU Women’s Spring Fling at Sandridge Country Club in Vero Beach, Florida.
The Panthers posted an 8th place team finish shooting a 54-hole team score of 974 after opening play on Friday with a team score of 319.
Transfer Sophia Miller was the Panthers top golfer for the weekend closing with consecutive rounds of 77 on Saturday and Sunday to tie for 16th in the field with a 54-hole score of 236.
Morgan Grant and Meera Upadhyay also posted rounds in the 70’s over the three-day event with both posting those rounds in Friday’s opening 18 holes.
Grant shot 79 to open the tournament before finishing in a tie for 33rd with a score of 244. Upadhyay was the Panthers opening round leader with a 77 before placing in a tie for 39th with a score of 247.
Mya Mirocha had her best round on Friday with an 81 and closed with an 82 to shoot 249 to place in a tie for 44th.Â
Olivia Quigley was EIU’s final golfer landing in the scored Panthers golfers on Sunday with her best round of the tournament at 84. She finished 58th with a score of 260.
Bucknell won the team title with Bucknell golfer Sophia Bardunias the individual medalist.
