There’s no question at this point that Giannis Antetokounmpo is an all-time great in the NBA.
If you had any doubt, though, he made another case during the Milwaukee Bucks‘ game on Sunday by setting an all-time record and passing Oscar Robertson in the process.
The mark was this: Most games with 30 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in NBA history.
Robertson did that 159 times in his career.
According to the official NBA social media, Antetokounmpo has now done that 160 times.
On Sunday, Antetokounmpo put up 31 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists.
Most importantly to Giannis, the Bucks won.
Milwaukee is in a tough spot, though. They’re now 5.5 games behind the Charlotte Hornets for the Eastern Conference’s final spot in the play-in tournament.
They’ve played 67 games, which means there are just 15 games left. It would take quite the Charlotte collapse combined with Milwaukee streak to get the Bucks to the playoffs.
If they got there, no one would be all that enthused about matching up with Antetokounmpo.
But it’s good news for the Eastern Conference that this may be too little, too late.
Still, Giannis is incredible. Every time he takes the floor, he’s capable of making NBA history. That’s exactly what he did for Milwaukee on Sunday.
