Airdrie remains in the middle of the pack among the top 60 Canadian markets for average rent prices.

According to a new Rentals.ca report, Airdrie is in the middle of major rental markets in Canada, ranking 40th out of the 60 cities surveyed.

The report shows that Airdrie has an average rent price of $1,914. One bedrooms sit at $1,442, which is a .2 per cent gain from this time last year. Two-bedroom rentals sit at $1,702, a 4.3 per cent decrease year over year.

When it comes to Calgary, the total average is $1,870, with one bedrooms sitting at $1,531 and two bedrooms sitting at $1,844.

Airdrie ranked in the middle for the lowest average asking rent among purpose-built and condo rental apartments, sitting at $1,613.
