CHASTAIN QUOTES
On going to Darlington with a new tire package and higher horsepower:
“Great weekend of racing coming up and I love Darlington. It’s been mean to me, but I look forward to it every time. There will be low grip at the end of a tire run and now with higher horsepower, it’s going to be really tough. I’m in all three races this weekend, and I’m really looking forward to it.”
On whether Darlington is challenging:
“There’s a reason I love Darlington. It’s my favorite track. It’s never easy. There are so many things I can do wrong as a driver and hit the wall, but I love it for that. Darlington has been mean to me over the years, but I still love it.”
On learning the history of Darlington:
“No, not at first. I grew up a casual fan and didn’t even know there were Saturday or Friday races. I learned a lot once I got to North Carolina. I’ve watched a lot of old races and interviews, and it’s neat seeing what Darlington was decades ago.”

ZILISCH QUOTES
On entering Darlington:
“I’m excited to go back to Darlington. I’ve only raced there once in the O’Reilly Series and finished sixth. This year’s package brings a lot of unknowns. It’s going to be chaotic with low downforce, high horsepower and soft tires.”
On tire management:
“You never want to be spinning the tires. The concepts apply across all race cars. I’ve learned a lot through different divisions in my career.”
