A 51-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman were taken to hospital after a physical altercation at a home in Montreal’s Pierrefonds-Roxboro borough early Thursday morning.
Montreal police (SPVM) say the incident occurred around 3 a.m. near Athéna Street and Callas Street.
Police say the man is the suspect and allegedly inflicted injuries on the woman and himself.
The woman was transported to hospital with serious injuries but is now in stable condition and is not considered to be in life-threatening condition.
The man was also taken to hospital and is in critical condition undergoing surgery.
The investigation is ongoing.
