Spring is just around the corner but there’s still a chance to celebrate the winter season with ice sculptures, hot chocolate and free family-friendly fun at the downtown Brampton WinterCity Festival this Thursday.

Hosted by the Brampton Downtown BIA, the festival starts at 4 p.m. with music, live performances, a vendor market and much more, giving kids and families lots of activities to take in before the end of March Break on Friday.

Down to just one day from the three-day festival last year, WinterCity 2026 will feature ice sculptures, smores and marshmallow roasting stations, a maple taffy booth, family-friendly mascots, and inflatable axe throwing in Garden Square.

There’s also a giant 27-foot inflatable bounce house, free hot chocolate courtesy of Ice Cream Cafe, a photo booth, and a silent disco inside The Rose Theatre.

“Gather around the fire, snap photos with friends, and soak in the festive atmosphere that makes downtown shine all winter long,” the Downtown BIA says.
