Alberta RCMP say an Edmonton man has been charged, and another is wanted with allegedly robbing a gas station in Blackfalds.

Mounties say around 6:40 a.m. on March 6, officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Chevron Gas station on Vista Trail.

It is believed that two masked men in winter clothing, one of whom was allegedly carrying a handgun, entered the store and allegedly stole money and cigarettes before fleeing in a vehicle.

On March 18, RCMP executed a search warrant at a home in Edmonton and took 30-year-old Joshua Sweeney into custody.

Sweeney has since been charged with armed robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, and mischief.

Mounties have also issued an arrest warrant for 31-year-old Gerard Pariseau, who is also from Edmonton, and is believed to be the second man involved in the alleged robbery.
