A Vancouver Island-based actress known for her roles in popular TV series like Supernatural and iZombie has died.
Carrie Anne Fleming died Feb. 26, 2026 in Sidney following a battle with cancer. She was 51.
Her death was shared publicly in a heartfelt post by her Supernatural co-star and on-screen husband Jim Beaver, who remember Fleming not only as a colleague, but as someone he deeply loved.
“I fell for her hard, and I did it mere seconds after meeting her,” Beaver wrote.
He described Fleming as “a powerhouse of vitality and goodwill” with “a rapturous laugh and an utterly adorable personality that didn’t seem to have an off switch.”
Born in Nova Scotia, Fleming grew up on Vancouver Island, attending Mount Douglas Secondary in Victoria and studying drama and dance, including with Kaleidoscope Theatre and Kidco Theatre Dance Company and School, before pursuing acting.
She went on to build a steady career in film and television, appearing in a range of productions filmed in B.C. and beyond.
Fleming is best known for her recurring role as Karen Singer in Supernatural, as well as appearances in iZombie, UnREAL and Masters of Horror.
