The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has identified a man who died in Surrey over the weekend.
IHIT said 45-year-old Zachery Rider of the Lower Mainland area was found injured and unresponsive by police on Saturday.
In a statement, IHIT said police responded to reports of an unresponsive male around 11:15 a.m. in the 9800 block of Foxglove Drive. Despite life-saving efforts from first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man was arrested shortly after, but IHIT said he was released without charges.
While it’s early in the investigation, police said it’s believed this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing risk to the public.
“Investigators continue to work diligently to determine the circumstances surrounding the death,” IHIT Sgt. Freda Fong said in a statement.
“A number of witness interviews are ongoing as we establish the deceased’s background and a timeline of his arrival to the area. Anyone who had recent contact with Mr. Rider is urged to contact IHIT right away.”
