A historic rivalry: McLaren vs Horner
Zak Brown makes no secret of his satisfaction with the new approach taken by Red Bull under Mekies’ leadership. Although he acknowledges that politics is a natural part of the sport, he believes that there is now greater maturity and professionalism among the teams.
“Before, that line was crossed. Today, we still fight politically, but with more limits and respect. I think this is much healthier for everyone,” he said.
He also highlighted that there is now greater trust in internal discussions:
“Today we know that what we talk about will not be used as a political weapon. That changes everything.”
