Emmy and Grammy Award winning comedian, actor and bestselling author Kathy Griffin is bringing her New Face, New Tour to Surrey’s Bell Performing Arts Centre on Nov. 8.
Tickets for the show go on sale March 27 at 7 a.m. at kathygriffin.net.
“I call my audiences very unshockable because they’ve heard me say it all, and I’ll be saying even worse this time. It’s going to be completely off the rails,” Griffin told People magazine about the tour.
As for the tour’s name, well, it’s pure unfiltered Griffin.
“I got a facelift, which people seem to be fascinated by, and I just want to say I don’t know why, but it cracks me up,” Griffin told People about the interest in her third facelift.
Aside from her over three decades long comedy career, including 21 specials, Griffin is perhaps best known for her hit Bravo series, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, which won two Emmys.
Griffin also co-produced and co-hosted CNN’s New Year’s Eve special, with Anderson Cooper for 10 years.
Other resume highlights include starring on NBC’s Suddenly Susan and guest starring roles on Seinfeld, Law & Order: SVU, Glee, You, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. She has also lent her voice to animated characters in Shrek Forever After, The Simpsons, American Dad, Futurama and Dilbert.
Her books Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin, and Kathy Griffin’s Celebrity Run-Ins: My A-Z Index both were on the New York Times bestseller list.
And of course she garnered a lot of attention she when she posted a photo of herself holding up a Donald Trump mask made to look like a severed head. That act got her on the no fly list and investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice.
