The U15 “B” Moose Jaw Thunderbirds hockey club won the gold medal this past weekend at the Calgary Raiders “Stick it to Kids Cancer” tournament.
Not only did the T-Birds win the championship, they also raised $2500 and donated the money to the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta which was part of the tournament’s purpose.
This tournament strives to promote athleticism in the community, leadership and dedication amongst young developing athletes, all with a consistent balance of fun.
All players were challenged to raise $100 each through their own efforts to support the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta, a charitable organization that helps Alberta families fighting childhood cancer.
