Based on L’Emploi Du Temps by Laurent Cantet and Robin Campillo the psychological thriller focuses on Vincent (Sandler), who after being fired can’t bring himself to tell his family. Rather than fess up, Vincent lies to cover his situation, but things get difficult when he cooks up an investment scheme and asks friends to contribute.

“I first encountered Laurent Cantet’s film in 2001, and it’s lived with me ever since,” Cooper told Deadline. “I’ve been thinking about revisiting it for years, but now felt like the right moment — we’re living in a time where questions of identity, work, and self-worth have become impossible to ignore.”
