While the government is taking baby steps towards reducing the bloated federal public service, there is no better time than now to reduce the over-the-top benefits they receive.

I don’t expect existing public servants to be affected, but all new hires could be offered benefit packages more in line with the reality of the private sector.
And, for the love of God, please don’t say that better pay and benefits are required to attract the best people for the job because, if that is the theory you are using, you’d better have a look at how the public service is currently being managed.

The Liberals have said there is no way the provinces will be involved in selecting federal judges. I wonder why. Could it be they want total control of the Supreme Court of Canada to benefit the Liberal party? Under this Liberal government, we are edging closer and closer to becoming a socialist country.

WHAT IS A JUST WAR?
Many political pundits in Canada claim that the war against Iran is unjust.
What is a just war? Would that mean that you should wait to be hit by missiles, and then it would be just to retaliate? Would it be a situation that you knew that you were going to have to fight, so you wait for your combatant to hit you first, and, when that happened and you hit him back, it would be a just battle?
I personally think hitting first is the best defence.
