A man from Brampton is facing multiple criminal charges following a daytime shooting in Oakville on Friday.
Halton Regional Police say the incident happened shortly after 12 p.m., when a man travelling in a vehicle allegedly fired multiple shots at another vehicle on Progress Court near South Service Road.
Investigators say no one was struck or injured and the suspect vehicle fled eastbound on South Service Road toward Fourth Line.
While the shooting is believed to have been targeted, police say there is no threat to public safety.
Justin Tasevski, 29, was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of discharging a firearm with intent, unauthorized possession of a firearm and failure to comply with a release order.
Police say Tasevski was held in custody and appeared in court on March 29. He is scheduled to return to court in Milton on April 1.
The firearm used in the shooting has not been recovered, officers say.
