From the sweeping badlands east of Drumheller to Calgary’s downtown core and the mountain views of Banff, Alberta landscapes featured in the Netflix series Can This Love Be Translated? are now being highlighted through the platform’s “In Your Neighbourhood” feature.

The series is listed by Netflix under genres including romantic TV dramas and romantic TV comedies, and includes Korean programming categories.

According to Netflix’s “In Your Neighbourhood” feature, the listings map out locations appearing in the series, tracing a stretch of southern Alberta from Kneehill County through Calgary and west into the Bow Valley.

Horseshoe Canyon, in Kneehill County, is identified as one of the locations appearing in the series.

Several Calgary locations are included.

Heritage Park, Crossroads Market and Stephen Avenue — including the Galleria Trees installation — are all identified as locations appearing in the series.

Other Calgary-area sites — including The Confluence, at the meeting of the Bow and Elbow rivers, and the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary — are referenced alongside those locations, but are not identified as sites appearing in the series.

The locations extend west of Calgary.

Quarry Lake Park in Canmore and the Central Park pedestrian bridge in Banff are also identified as locations appearing in the series, along with scenes set in downtown Banff.

Netflix says the feature is meant to highlight how productions connect to communities, encouraging viewers to “look at your local streets, parks, mountains, libraries and eateries in a new light.”
