New Planet Fitness set to open this spring in South Surrey

A new gym for South Surrey and White Rock residents is set to open this spring.
Many may have noticed the changes underway at the South Surrey Walmart Superstore, where the former garden centre has been transformed into a new, 1,531-square-foot Planet Fitness club.
Impact Fitness Group, a Planet Fitness franchise division that operates 11 Planet Fitness locations across Canada, has announced they will be opening a new club at 2355 160 Street in Surrey sometime this spring.
A Planet Fitness sales kiosk, located inside Walmart near the gym entrance, will be staffed by Planet Fitness team members Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the pre-grand opening sale, where there’s several options offered for new members as well as founding members, a release said.
“We are excited to continue growing our presence in British Columbia with this new location in White Rock/Surrey,” director of marketing at Impact Fitness Group Sarah Wilson said in the release. “This club builds on our existing footprint in the region and allows us to reach even more residents with affordable, high-quality fitness.”
Every Planet Fitness membership includes access to the home club, free fitness training, a wide selection of strength and brand-name cardio equipment, and access to the free Planet Fitness app featuring hundreds of on-demand digital workouts, the release continued, while the balanced mix of cardio and strength equipment ensures members of all fitness levels have everything they need to reach their fitness goals in a comfortable, non-intimidating environment.
Impact Fitness Group also operates 48 U.S. Planet Fitness clubs across Michigan and Indiana.
