More Transit options are on the way for Winnipeggers to accommodate busy routes.
The spring schedule change will address some of the gaps in late-night service and add additional capacity to some of the busier routes in the City beginning on Sunday, April 12, 2026. The changes come based on feedback from Winnipeggers.
“This is how we make the system better, by listening to riders and making adjustments where they’re needed,” said Mayor Scott Gillingham in a news release. “We’ve heard the feedback, and these changes reflect what people are telling us. We’re going to keep improving the service so it’s more reliable, more convenient, and works better for riders.”
Part of the most recent budget update includes the approval City Council made for longer late-night hours on 10 routes in the City.
When the spring schedule launches on April 12, riders will be able to take the following routes after midnight:
Along with the changes, additional trips will be made on the following routes:
The F5 line, which serves Notre Dame Avenue and McPhillips Street.
The F8 line, which serves Pembina Highway and Henderson Highway.
On Route 74 buses will be added between CF Polo Park and Old Commonwealth Path only.
Route 557, which serves South Osborne, Southdale, Island Lakes, and Sage Creek.
On Route 676 from St. Vital Centre to Bridgwater Centre and from St. Vital Centre to Creek Bend Road.
Fewer trips will run on FX3 (Regent – Grant) buses east of Kildonan Place and FX4 (Gateway – Portage) buses north of McLeod Avenue. These refinements offset routes that have seen lower-than-expected ridership.
