A Brampton man has been arrested over an incident in central Ontario where a person was attacked.
The Bracebridge Detachment of the OPP says on March 30, in the evening, officers responded to an emergency call from a resident in the community of Gravenhurst, about 200 kms north of Toronto.
According to reports, a person carrying a weapon tried to force their way into a unit in an apartment building.
Police have not revealed what type of weapon was used, but say it was a targeted incident.
The suspect then fled in a vehicle and was headed south on Highway 11, but was intercepted by officers who then made an arrest.
Richlue Vincent, 29, of Brampton, has since been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.
