Former world boxing champion and I’m a Celebrity star Tony Bellew was snapped in the town during a visit to Partridge Lakes Café.

The beauty spot in Culcheth has become something of a celebrity haunt over recent years, having been visited by the likes of footballers Wayne Rooney and Phil Foden, as well as another former boxer, Ricky Hatton.

Partridge Lakes is a fishery set over 70 acres, with 394 pegs across 15 waters.

Liverpudlian Bellew, nicknamed The Bomber, won the WBC cruiserweight world title in 2016, as well as two high-profile grudge bouts against rival David Haye, of which Bellew won both.

He also starred in the 23rd series of ITV’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2023, where he finished as the runner-up.

Partridge Lakes Café said: “We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Tony Bellew to Partridge Lakes earlier.

“Such a lovely guy, his visit definitely brightened up our day.”
