Toronto will see a balmy start to the long weekend but be sure to keep the umbrellas handy.
Environment Canada is calling for rain and a high of 21 C on Good Friday.
“Easter Weekend is offering some treats. But also a lot of volatility,” CP24 Meteorologist Bill Coulter said Thursday.
“Temperatures bounce around and wet weather pays us several visits that will have you reaching into the umbrella basket.”
Some sunshine is expected on Thursday but clouds are “quickly thickening,” Coulter noted.
“Showers will appear by the lunch hour. The temperature will remain cool through the afternoon but begin an impressive climb this evening,” he said.
Toronto could see thunderstorms overnight and more wet weather is possible on Friday morning.
“The temperature is expected to rise impressively, into the low 20s,” Coulter said.
Unsettled weather and a seasonable high of 12 C is expected on Saturday.
On Sunday, rain and clouds could clear in the afternoon but the temperature will drop to a high of just 6 C, about three degrees cooler than normal for this time of year.
Sunshine returns to the forecast on Monday and Tuesday, which will see daytime highs of just 3 C on each day respectively.
More seasonable temperatures will likely return on Wednesday, with a high of 8 C in the forecast.
