CAAL Racing has unveiled another key to their puzzle with the confirmation of Padova native Valentino Gambarotto for the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series season. After making his debut with the Italian team in 2025, Gambarotto will return to the veteran powerhouse as he prepares for his second OPEN title charge with the #73 car.

Having come up through drifting, in his rookie season Gambarotto validated his potential in circuit racing with a ninth place finish in just his second race in Spain. Three more top-10 finishes further showcased his talent behind the wheel of the pure racing cars, culminating with his first Master Trophy podium in the Finals in Belgium.

The 18-year old is a quick learner and absorbed plenty of knowledge not only from his teammates, but also the expertise from Luca and Corrado Canneori and their highly talented team. With close bonds to his family – particularly his father, who works in construction business – and friends, along with a coordinated fitness training regime, Gambarotto is ready to work hard and bring home important results in 2026.

“I’m happy to confirm my participation in the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series season,” said Gambarotto after confirming his return. “After last year’s experience, I’m coming back more prepared and focused, ready to work hard and do my best throughout the season.”

Gambarotto’s addition heats up the excitement for not only the OPEN division as a whole, but also for the Master Trophy where Gambarotto is set to be eligible. Keep an eye out on the #73 machine as it carves its way through the six tracks that the series will visit, including his home race in Vallelunga that will mark the start of the highly demanding Playoff rounds.
