The Arizona Cardinals are doing their homework on some of the top prospects in the 2026 NFL draft. With the third overall pick, they have their choice of some of the top pass rushers or an offensive lineman. One player they could take third overall is Texas Tech edge rusher David Bailey.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, Bailey had an official top-30 visit with the Cardinals the week after the NFL combine. He is set to visit the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs.

Physically, Bailey is a prototypical edge rusher. He is nearly 6-4, weighs 251 pounds and has nearly 34-inch arms. He ran the 40 in 4.50 seconds.
Last season for the Red Raiders, he led the nation with 14.5 sacks and led the Big 12 with 19.5 tackles for loss, earning All-American status.
Considering the Cardinals had only 5.5 sacks from their edge defenders not named Josh Sweat. Bailey would be a fine fit with the defense.
He is certainly a candidate for the Cardinals to draft third overall.
