OFFICERS with the Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC) have arrested a suspect ranked seventh on Canada’s most wanted list according to BOLO (Be On the Look Out) Program.

On March 26, UGET officers were conducting proactive patrols in Surrey when they identified and arrested a male wanted in connection with a homicide investigation in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The individual, Chad Dandan, who had been featured on the national most wanted BOLO list, was attempting to evade detection by concealing his identity. Despite these efforts, CFSEU-BC officers successfully identified and arrested the suspect through keen observation and investigative diligence.

“The suspect took deliberate steps to avoid being recognized, but our officers’ training and vigilance led to his arrest,” said Sgt. Sarbjit K. Sangha, CFSEU-BC Media Relations Officer. “This is a strong example of the work our members do every day to enhance public safety.”

Following the arrest, CFSEU-BC worked closely with the Winnipeg Police Service to coordinate the accused’s custody and support the next steps in the judicial process. The accused remains in custody pending further proceedings in Winnipeg.

“Hats off to all Canadians for being on the lookout for Chad Dandan! Hats off to the Winnipeg Police Service for working tirelessly to bring Dandan to justice! And hats off to the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit – British Columbia for arresting Dandan last week! Together, we make our communities safer”, said Maxime Langlois, Director of the BOLO Program.

The CFSEU-BC said that the arrest demonstrates the effectiveness of coordinated and strategic policing in targeting violent offenders across jurisdictions and reinforces its ongoing commitment to public safety across British Columbia.
