STATESBORO, Ga. – The Marshall University Tennis team (10-10) fell 4-1 in its final contest of the week in Statesboro, Georgia, against Georgia Southern on Sunday.
 
The Eagles took the doubles point, but the Herd saw Johanna Strom and Alina Mokrynska capture a 6-4 win at number one doubles.
 
Paula Berzina earned a walkover win to start singles at number six. However, Georgia Southern took three straight singles matches to take the contest.
 
Thalia Smith was leading in the third set as her contest went unfinished at number five.
