A man in his 20s was arrested for impaired driving on Saturday, after fleeing the scene of a collision, Toronto police said.
They received a call at around 6:20 p.m. for a collision at East Mall and Bloor Street.
A vehicle had struck another vehicle and two pedestrians, police said. While the driver fled the scene, he was arrested a short time later.
The two pedestrians, who were struck in the incident, were sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The occupants of the other vehicle didn’t go to hospital.
Bloor Street was closed at East Mall in both directions east of the intersection.
