Two people have suffered serious injuries, including one who was airlifted to hospital, following a shooting in Brampton on Monday.
The incident happened shortly before noon in the area of Central Park Drive and Glenvale Boulevard in Brampton, Peel Regional Police say.
Investigators say the shooting started as an “altercation” in the area, and that two people suffered serious injuries. Police say there’s no threat to the general public.
Both of the victims, who are in their 20s, were “walk-ins” at a local hospital, Peel Regional Paramedic Services has confirmed. One of the victims was airlifted from hospital to a trauma centre by an Ornge Air Ambulance, Peel paramedics say.
Officers are on the scene and are asking drivers to avoid the area while the investigation is underway.
