DEFIANCE__The visiting Bluffton High School boys tennis team swept Defiance 5-0 on a windy, chilly Monday evening, April 6.

The Pirates improved to 2-0 with the win by taking 10 of the 11 sets. Defiance fell to 1-2 after the defeat.

Bluffton senior Grady Coonfare won 6-4, 6-0 at first singles.

Senior Isaiah Kohli rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at second singles.

Sophomore Toby Yarnell won handily at third singles by a 6-2, 6-2 count.

Junior Braydon McClure and sophomore Micah Lemley combined to win at first doubles 6-0, 7-5.

Sophomore Brooks Schwarz and freshman Kale Brauen persevered to triumph 6-3, 2-6, 6-1 at second doubles.

The Pirates are slated to play at Van Wert (0-1) on Thursday.
