Wow, were those races amazing or what? Tour of Flanders is one of the toughest days of racing in the pro peloton–and one of the most popular for us fans. The day saw two worthy winners, Tadej Pogačar and Demi Vollering.
Pogačar rode away from Mathieu van der Poel on the last time up Oude Kwaremont to win De Ronde van Vlaanderen for the third time.
The only Monument left on his list now is Paris-Roubaix, which is next Sunday. Remco Evenepoel, doing his first try at Flanders, took a solid third.
Like Pogi, Vollering went all in on the Oude Kwaremont, and no one could follow.
Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and Puck Pieterse bridging tried in vain to catch the Dutch rider, but it was not to be. That is the first Flanders win for Vollering.
