A shooting that left two people in Brampton with serious injuries has led to the arrest of a 19-year-old.
The Monday (April 6) incident happened around noon in the area of Central Park Drive and Glenvale Boulevard in Brampton.
Police say the gunfire erupted following an “altercation” in the area.
Both of the victims, who are in their 20s, were “walk-ins” at a local hospital, Peel Regional Paramedic Services confirmed. One of the victims was airlifted from the hospital to a trauma centre by an Ornge Air Ambulance.
The person now facing charges was arrested near the scene.
Naesean Okoko is charged with attempted murder using a firearm, aggravated assault, possession of opioid and several other weapon offences.
