A 63-yard field goal by Sergio Castillo gave the Bombers a 27-25 advantage with 1:01 remaining on the game clock.

The Stampeders started with possession at their 40-yard line and pushed the ball down to the Winnipeg 33-yard line prior to the winning score. The drive covered 37 yards on five plays.

The Bombers built a 17-0 lead after a 23-yard touchdown pass from Zach Collaros to Jerreth Sterns in the second quarter and the subsequent point after by Castillo. The Bombers offence mustered three Castillo field goals for the remainder of the game.

The Stampeders swept the three-game series from the Blue Bombers. The Stamps won the two previous games by 21 points each. In Week 5 action in Calgary, the Stampeders won 37-16, the return engagement two weeks later in Winnipeg saw Calgary win 41-20.

Collaros went 21-for-26 for 214 yards and one touchdown. Chris Streveler scored on a one-yard keeper in the first quarter. Streveler has two rushing touchdowns this season. Last week, he crossed the goal line after a nine-yard run against the Toronto Argos.

Brady Oliveira gained 146 all-purpose yards — 56 yards on the ground and 90 through the air — in the first half. In total, the Bombers primary back gained 60 yards on the ground and 100 through the air.

In his season debut, Dillon Mitchell caught three passes for 22 yards. Nic Demski caught three passes for 28 yards and Kevens Clercius caught three balls for 32 yards.

Overall, Castillo kicked four field goals on four attempts.

The long plays continue to hurt the Bombers defence as the Stampeders earned 18 direct points via long pass attempts or completions.

A Vernon Adams Jr. 78-yard touchdown pass to Tevin Jones in the second quarter was the first long play to do damage. Winnipeg safety Jake Kelly picked up a 40-yard pass interference penalty on a pass attempt for Dominique Rhymes, moving the ball down to the Winnipeg 30-yard line. Jones hauled in an eight-yard touchdown pass four plays later. A 39-yard pass completion to Clark Barnes set up a Paredes field goal in the third quarter, and a 48-yard pass to Jalen Philpot set the Stampeders up for another third quarter field goal.

Tony Jones led the Bombers defence with seven tackles. In his season debut, Dexter Lawson Jr., made six tackles. James Vaughters had the only sack for Winnipeg.

Paredes kicked four field goals on five attempts.

Adams Jr. went 17-for-24 for 300 yards passing and two touchdowns.

Dedrick Mills ran the ball 18 times for 105 yards. Mills reached the 100-yard rushing mark for the first time this season.

Jones caught two passes for 86 yards. Barnes caught four balls for 75 yards. Philpot caught five passes for 88 yards. Damien Alford, who caught three touchdown passes in the two previous games against the Bombers, missed the game with a hamstring injury.

Former Winnipeg linebacker Adam Bighill is still waiting to make his CFL debut this season. The Stampeders signed Bighill on June 22 after the Bombers released the veteran on Feb. 11.

Linebacker Jacob Roberts had 11 tackles and one sack. Jaylon Hutchings led the Calgary defence with two sacks.

The Bombers host the Ottawa RedBlacks on Thursday evening.
