The Aston Martin Valkyrie might be the most extreme road car ever and is certainly the coolest race car running today. Aston Martin’s current Formula 1 car, on the other hand, is the subject of major concern after problems with both vibrations and actual pace. The two make an unlikely pairing, but a video shared to TikTok on Thursday suggests that Aston Martin might be exploring a creation that mixes both ideas.
In the vertical video, a car can first be heard and then seen downshifting aggressively as it heads off track. The unusual creation is never fully in the frame, but the shots we can see suggest that it is some sort of chimera of a modern Formula 1 car and the Valkyrie LM track car.
So far as we can tell, the car appears be a Valkyrie built around an F1 chassis. The central tub of an F1 car and its “halo” forward protective hoop seem to be intact, connected to a typical nose and airbox structure for a modern open-wheeler. A unique nose and front fender set combines elements from both cars, blending the two very distinct shapes. Everything else seems to come from a Valkyrie, from the rear wing with vertical strakes across the top to a thunderous engine that sounds like it could be the hypercar’s usual V-12.
This could just be a previously-unseen testing vehicle, or for all we know, it could be a hoax created by the owner of the TikTok account. We certainly hope that it is actually a car being considered for production, maybe as another track-only Valkyrie variant to join the existing LM and AMR Pro models. Those are already two of the fastest vehicles ever made available directly to customers, but a lighter single-seat variant could be even faster still.
