Ticket sales going well for Cloverdale Rodeo kickoff concert May 14

Tickets sales are going well for the revival of the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair’s opening night concert.
Sidelined for nearly two decades, the Cloverdale Rodeo and Exhibition Association (CREA) resurrected the event this year, expanding “Rodeo Weekend” to five days.
“(Sales) are doing fantastic,” said Kathy Sheppard, CREA president. “There are still tickets left, so we invite everyone to come out and join us.”
Sheppard noted the return of the event, the first since 2008, is a “huge moment” for both Cloverdale and Surrey.
“Launching the 2026 Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair a day early … is another example of how the event continues to grow every year. The Country Fair Kickoff expands the impact the event makes for the community and adds to another high-energy and incredible country music celebration.”
As part of the Country Fair Kickoff, concert-goers will get to listen to three-time Juno award winner Brett Kissel and rising country star Cooper Alan as they perform in the Longhorn Saloon. Morgan Klaiber will open the show. Klaiber, recently called “the West’s best kept secret,” had the CMAB album of the year in 2025.
Sheppard told the Cloverdale Reporter the need to re-introduce the concert was overdue. She said it’s all part of CREA’s raison d’être to do more for the community by expanding and extending the rodeo and fair.
The Cloverdale Fairgrounds will open at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 14 this year ahead of the concert.
Sheppard encouraged concert-goers to arrive when the gates open because most of the venues will be open.
Early attendees will get to enjoy food trucks, live performances, rides, games, and more ahead of the opening night show.
Tickets for the concert have been capped at 3,000. Doors to the Longhorn Saloon open at 6 p.m. Klaiber takes the stage at 6:45 p.m. Alan will be on at 8 p.m. Kissel hits the stage at 9:45 p.m.
“Get your tickets early,” added Sheppard. “It’s going to be a fantastic night. Bring a friend!”

CREA is also offering a discounted general admission entry on May 14. Fair-goers can get into the ‘Grounds for just $5 that day.
