In the East, where the Detroit Pistons had already locked up the No. 1 seed, the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks secured the Nos. 2 and 3 seeds, respectively, with wins over the New Orleans Pelicans and Toronto Raptors. The Atlanta Hawks secured a playoff berth with a win over the Cavs on Friday, with the Toronto Raptors clinging to the sixth and final guaranteed playoff berth. The Raptors will try to hold off the Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.
In the East’s play-in tournament field, the Charlotte Hornets and Miami Heat are locked into the 9 vs. 10 game, but home court will be determined on Sunday.
Out West, the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs have secured the Nos. 1 and 2 seeds, respectively. The Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves are the Nos. 5 and 6 seeds. And the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers are fighting for the No. 3 seed. There are no other guaranteed playoff spots to be had.
