Sometimes life really can feel like a Disney movie, especially where unexpected interspecies animal friendships are concerned. For as much as some people like to talk about animals being wild, they miss the gentler, more kind, caring, and nurturing aspects of their nature. As such, they can form the most precious of bonds with each other.
Just take the tiny deer and the Golden Retrievers who raised her in this video, for instance. As this heartwarming footage shows, this deer may be a prey animal, and dogs may descend from predators, but this relationship is marked by nothing but genuine affection and total love.
As the caption for this adorable video notes, “affection is a mandatory requirement in this pack.” That’s clearly how these Golden Retrievers and their deer sibling live now. But as this video shows, this is not just a recent thing with them; they have always lived together this way.
A different clip in this footage that shows this deer as a tiny fawn when she first joined her Golden Retriever siblings makes it clear that love and affection were always the number one priority for this pack.
But beyond merely making love a priority, this Golden Retriever pack also succeeded in teaching their tiny deer sibling how to love. And that is a beautiful lesson that she has carried with her to this day.
