Bromley stayed top of League Two but missed their chance to seal promotion to League One for the first time after suffering defeat at title rivals MK Dons who in turn close the gap at the summit to four points.
In another big game in terms of promotion – Cambridge’s 4-0 win over Notts County saw them swap places with the U’s who are just two points off second spot.
Salford and Chesterfield stay in the play-off places after their draws with Gillingham and Tranmere, respectively.
Grimsby are up to eighth and swap places with Crewe after a 3-2 win over the Railwaymen while Barnet’s win at lowly Barrow sees the Bees fly up to ninth.
In the big game at the bottom of the table – Harrogate stay rooted to bottom after they lost at relegation rivals Newport who now four points adrift the danger zone.
