Reported incident prior to the shooting

On April 10, 2026, at 11:04 pm (2 hours before the murder of Dane Nisbet), police received a call to an Exmouth Street bar.  In that incident, there was a report of two males with a gun (possibly two guns), and the front door glass had been broken. The caller reported that those two unknown suspects had fled in a vehicle prior to police arrival, but did provide a licence plate.

Officers arrived and located an individual who had fled the bar on foot.  He was arrested hiding behind a dumpster and found to be responsible for the broken window.  The vehicle plate provided was inaccurate.  No names were provided to police to determine the identity of the two males in possession of the gun(s).

Despite the lack of vehicle or identity information, police searched the area for the suspects and the vehicle.  A possible matching vehicle was stopped, but it was revealed not to be the suspects.  Despite an area search, they were not located.

Following the shooting, the arrested male was investigated to determine if he was affiliated with the shooting suspects; he was later excluded from that investigation.

Latest investigative steps in the homicide investigation

Since the initial incident. SPS teams have been pursuing multiple investigative avenues to positively identify all parties involved and locate and seize available evidence.  Information developed is that two primary suspects, both male, were directly involved in this homicide.  The first as the shooter, and the second as an accomplice.

By the late morning of April 10, 2026, SPS located and arrested two females who were in the company of the suspects at the time of the offence.  They are not believed to be party to the offence and were later released unconditionally.

On April 11, 2026, SPS investigators obtained search warrants for two London, Ontario, residences, one in the 200 block of Boullee Street and the other on Stonehenge Place.  These warrants were executed mid-morning with the assistance of the London Police Emergency Response Unit and LPS investigators.  The vehicle used in the shooting was located and seized.

During the execution of these warrants, the second male involved was located inside one of the warrant locations.  He was placed under arrest and transported to SPS HQ for processing.  He will be held for a video bail hearing on Sunday, April 12, 2026.

Oudom “Richard” BUN (23 years) of Stonehenge Place in London, Ontario, has been charged with:

Second Degree Murder
Attempted Murder X 2

SPS investigators and Forensic Examiners have completed processing the two London addresses, and the Lambton College scene was released.
