The Jack Roslovic free agency continues to get strung along this summer, as the top remaining UFA considers his next move. And while there are several known NHL teams with interest, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks and Winnipeg Jets, among a few others, the bidding on the 22-goal scorer has now expanded overseas, to Russia.
Multiple KHL clubs have made bids on UFA Jack Roslovic.

Dylan Griffing, who reports on Russian hockey for Elite Prospects, reports that “multiple” KHL clubs are trying to secure Roslovic’s services.Â
Though it’s fair to question why the Columbus-born player would head to Russia when there are several NHL clubs clamoring for him, it stands to reason that a North American team could up its ante at this point, knowing there’s such demand for Roslovic on both sides of the ocean.Â
The 28-year-old was a first-round pick in the 2015 NHL Draft (25th overall) by the Winnipeg Jets, and began his career there for three seasons.Â
But it was a homecoming, playing for the Columbus Blue Jackets, that saw him reach his peak in the league, with a career-best 22-goal, 45-point season in 2021-22. He matched that goal output this past year with the Carolina Hurricanes, and did it in less than 14 minutes of average ice time per night.Â
With all the big boys off the market, Roslovic is clearly the premier unrestricted free agent remaining, and he seems to be milking that honor right now for all it’s worth.Â
