The WNBA Draft is here, and the Dallas Wings are selecting first – AGAIN!
Following a wild March in the women’s NCAA tournament, it’s time to see whose stock rose and who slipped down the draft board.
After two straight drafts with Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers as clear-cut No. 1 picks, this year’s top selection remains wide open. The Wings once again own the No. 1 pick in the 2026 draft, but the conversation around who they’ll select has shifted.
In ESPN’s latest 2026 mock draft, TCU point guard Olivia Miles has moved to the top of the board, with Spain superstar Awa Fam at No.2 overall and UConn star Azzi Fudd now projected to go No. 3. NCAA champion Lauren Betts is slated as the No. 4 overall pick.
The Wings also hold the No. 31 pick, and the draft comes as the franchise enters a new era under first-year coach Jose Fernandez.
On April 13, beginning at 5:30 p.m., WFAA’s Jonah Javad and Krista (Kay) Summerville will go live, providing pre-draft analysis as Mike Leslie provides live coverage from Happiest Hour, where the Wings are hosting their official draft watch party.
