Motorists are being told to avoid a busy traffic area of Brampton because of flooding.
Reports indicate that water has washed out the south access ramp to Queen Street/Highway 7 East for those using Highway 410.
All ramp lanes are closed.
A massive dump of rain in a very short period has led to the accumulation.
The rain is expected to continue throughout the day, and more is expected for the rest of the week.
Environment Canada has issued a series of weather statements and warnings spanning much of the province, including most of the Greater Toronto Area.
The weather agency said some areas could see as much as 30 millimetres of rain through Wednesday.
The ground is already near saturation, with little ability to absorb more rainfall, and water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas, it said.
The agency urged people not to drive through flooded roadways and to watch for washouts in areas near rivers, creeks and other waterways.
