Brampton collision leaves 2 people in life-threatening condition

Two people have been critically injured in a collision in Brampton.

Peel police say an SUV and a transport truck collided at the intersection of Williams Parkway and Airport Road around 3:15 p.m.

A male and a female have been rushed to a trauma centre in serious, life-threatening condition, police say.

Ornge told CTV News that one victim was airlifted to Sunnybrook hospital with critical injuries.

Images from the scene show part of the SUV underneath the rear truck as a result of the collision.

The cause of the collision is unknown.

Police say the intersection is closed for the investigation.
