There has been roster turnover following the Green and White’s Grey Cup victory in November. So, we anticipate there will be a lot of competition among the first-year players looking to fill those vacancies.
Quarterback and Grey Cup MVP Trevor Harris is confident that, despite losing some players, they will be okay in 2026.
“Our DBs, all five of them, are back. Our SAM linebacker, Antoine Brooks, is going to be an all-star this year. Jameer Thurman is back. Our WILL linebacker is Josh Woods, he’s a very, very good player. I think he’s an all-star type player as well. We bring back our two interior guys. We lose Micah, but we replace Habba with James Vaughters. We’ve got to replace Scoop, and we’ve got guys that are going to be really competing for that job. On offence, we have 16 guys coming back that have started three or more games, and we only start 12. Our main four receivers last year were KeeSean, Dohnte, Sam, and Shafe. We never had more than two of them healthy at the same time, but we’ve got three of them back. We’ve got guys competing for those other jobs, and our organization does a tremendous job bringing in guys.”
