Montreal police arson investigators have been called in to examine a series of arsons early Wednesday that targeted five vehicles located on three streets located within a block of one another in the borough of St-Laurent.
Two cars and three SUVs located on Brunet, Gold and Noël Sts. were set alight at about 4 a.m. and those responsible fled the scene before the arrival of officers, according to police.
There were no injuries reported, but the vehicles were described by police spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils as a total loss.
No traces of flammables were found at the scenes and police are hoping local surveillance cameras will provide them with information on how the incident occurred.
